In the coming weeks we will release the 2017 Update of the TEEAL collection, and this will be the final annual update produced by the TEEAL Project.
For two decades, TEEAL has been a vital component of research in agriculture and related sciences for institutions with limited Internet access and financial resources. While we have been proud to serve this community, it appears that now is an opportune time to encourage the transition to online resources. We have observed that the ways in which many researchers, students, faculty, and other users are able to access e-resource information are evolving and expanding. The increased accessibility of e-resource and research portals (such as AGORA) is a major factor in our decision.
For our subscribing institutions, shipment of the 2017 Update and other newly purchased TEEAL materials will occur between March and June 2019 (depending on payment timing and so on). Technical Support for TEEAL will continue to be available after the completion of the project through June 2020.
For our publishing partners, your previously donated content will continue to be accessible to subscribers who have purchased the 2017 Update or earlier TEEAL releases.
We are working with our partners at AGORA to ensure that both our subscribers and publishing partners can take advantage of this program. AGORA, a program of Research4Life, provides free or low-cost access to major scientific journals in agriculture and related biological, environmental, and social sciences to public institutions in developing countries. If you have questions about AGORA please email AGORA@fao.org.
Thank you to all of our subscribers and partners for many years of collaboration and for your continued dedication to the global agricultural research community!
